Mid-lit: A Story

About me: The Creative.

Hi, I’m Michelle — the human behind Mid•Lit.

I write from the space between genres, between tones, between moods. If you’ve ever cried at a playlist, underlined a sentence with your whole soul, or found joy in something slightly unhinged, you’re in the right place.
Mid•Lit is my collection of stories, essays, books, and emotional side quests. It’s a soft landing for literary chaos. My first book, Bittersweet & Steeped, is out now — and it’s probably responsible for how you made it here.
When I’m not writing, I’m probably making playlists no one asked for, buying another notebook I don’t need, or haunting the library like a socially anxious Victorian ghost.
I hope you find space here that resonates with a part of your soul.

Mid-Lit: The Medium.

Mid•Lit is the literature that lives in the middle.

It’s not quite literary fiction, not just one genre. Mostly experimental, and definitely not traditional. It bends. It blends. It lingers. It’s for stories that don’t fit cleanly into shelves, and characters who don’t tidy up their feelings.

It’s a space for:

  • Genre mashups that make no apologies
  • Prose with a pulse
  • Vibes-driven storytelling
  • Emotion-forward narratives
  • Beautiful chaos that makes sense only when it hits you in the chest

Mid•Lit is heartbreak and whimsy. It’s blur and bite. It’s the kind of writing that refuses to sit still—and you wouldn’t want it to.

I hope that whatever has drawn you to Mid-Lit, you find something that resonates with your soul, and brings a little piece of you back to earth with it.
